With the help of the CEO Urban Unit; Dr. Nasir Javed, and Ziad Khan; the founder of Peace University, ::iCube:: is on its way of becoming a major proponent of entrepreneurship in Pakistan. By integrating stakeholder engagement and skill development with emerging technologies and methods, ::iCube:: is working tirelessly to establish itself as an ideal platform for startups.

::Urban Unit/iCube:: vision is to be a nerve center for developing viable business solutions in Pakistan by focusing on problems the citizens face everyday. ::Urban Unit/iCube:: serve to fill the gaps and divides in our society by tapping into technology and governance, by helping new businesses and startups with comprehension, acquisition, training, negotiation and early uptake of new technologies. Women Empowerment and Womentrepreneurship is the core of ::iCube:: IT is mandatory for all teams to have at least one woman cofounder or core team member.

::Urban Unit/iCube:: recently held the Startup Challenge Summer’17 at Alhamra, Lahore on September 27th. The Startup Challenge gave an opportunity to anyone from across the country to submit an innovative idea. Shortlisted teams had the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges and a diverse audience, as well as numerous investors.

The event showcased the potential for innovation in Pakistan. The participants got an opportunity and exposure from a unique platform along with media coverage. Four teams were acknowledged for their homework and presentation quality. Currently, the center is preparing its incubation batch, selected teams will receive support and training from ::Urban Unit/iCube:: and will be guided through formal negotiations to shape their ideas into reality and secure necessary resources inclusive of funding.
