HackthePad is about learning and addressing the health, hygiene and sanitaion challenges women face at all socio-economic levels, from taboo to shamig to inaccessibility of resources. Oh and you’ll be dealing with and talking about all the stuff you grew up hiding, for 36 hours straight!

What is a hackathon?

A hackathon is where you turn your crazy ideas into real stuff. Hundreds of ideators from all over, gather and build something they’re passionate about. You take care of building. We’ll take care of you.

What is a hack?

A Hack is clever or ingenious way of accomplishing something, often but not necessaily with th use of technology. At HackthePad we welcome all hacks and encourage technical and non technical people all the same.

Who is a Hacker?

Anyone who can hack, see previous question for what defines a hack (no it is not malicously gaining access to data or computer)

Who can come?

HackthePad applications are open to anyone who wants to build something that helps women and makes life easier for all.

What if I don’t know how to code?

Keep on the lookout you may find a coding partner when here, or they maybe looking for you. If you dont, do not worry, HackthePad is where you come to learn, ideate and brainstorm soultions to problems. There'll be workshops and mentors to help you throughout.

What if I don’t have a team or an idea?

Not a problem! We’ve been working on some great ideation and team-forming activities to help you.

What should I bring?

All you need is a valid ID and a laptop.

What can I build?

Anything that makes its easier for women to move forward in life and close the gender parity gap.

What if I’m not from Lahore?

What does it cost?

Entry to HackthePad is free, here you will get meals, caffeine, swag, workspace, lots of fun stuff and WiFi for the whole weekend! Not to mention the all learning and growth.
